About Elizabeth Wynn, LCAT
A Brooklyn-based Licensed Creative Arts Therapist helping adults build self-trust, heal relationships, and create meaningful change.
Therapy that helps you understand yourself and move forward
I’m Elizabeth, I’m happy you’re here!
Starting therapy is a meaningful step, and I don’t take that lightly. My goal is to create a space where you feel genuinely seen, understood, and supported as we make sense of your experiences and begin shifting the patterns that no longer serve you.
I believe that every person has the innate ability to heal and access their full potential.
In our work together, we focus on uncovering your strengths, deepening self-awareness, and helping you build a more confident and grounded relationship with yourself. My approach is collaborative, warm, and paced in a way that honors your readiness for change.
I work virtually with adults across New York, especially in Brooklyn and Manhattan, who are navigating anxiety, relationship patterns, and the impact of early family dynamics.
Meet Elizabeth Wynn
Licensed Creative Arts Therapist in Brooklyn
Before starting my private practice, I spent over nine years working in diverse New York City mental health settings, including public schools, intensive outpatient programs, home-based therapy, supportive housing, and community work with adults, children, and families. I also served as a site director in a residence for formerly homeless adults.
Across these settings, I met people from many different cultural, socioeconomic, and life experiences, yet there was always a common thread: the desire to better understand themselves and find new pathways toward healing.
Today, in my virtual Brooklyn-based practice, I bring that depth of experience into a more personal, individualized space. I offer both talk therapy and creative arts therapy using a strength-based, attachment-informed, and CBT-oriented approach. My work is grounded in empathy, collaboration, and deep respect for the courage it takes to begin therapy.

The principles that guide my work
Collaboration and Respect
I see therapy as a partnership. You are the expert on your life, and my role is to support you in understanding your experiences and accessing your own inner resources. We move at a pace that feels safe and manageable, creating a space where you feel empowered rather than judged or pushed.
Strength-Based Growth
I believe healing happens when we recognize and build on the strengths you already have. Even when you feel stuck, there are parts of you that are resilient, insightful, and capable of change. My work focuses on helping you reconnect with those parts and use them to create lasting transformation.
Cultural Awareness and Individuality
Your cultural background, identity, and lived experiences matter deeply in therapy. I approach each client as a unique individual and remain committed to providing care that is culturally responsive, inclusive, and affirming of your full story.
